BATON ROUGE, La. – El Centro de Recuperación por Desastre (DRC, por sus siglas en inglés) localizado en Bogalusa, parroquia de Washington,  se convertirá en un Centro de Servicio y Préstamos por Desastre (DLOC) de la Agencia Federal para el Desarrollo de la Pequeña Empresa de los EE.UU. (SBA) comenzando el jueves 28 de abril.

El DRC en Bogalusa cerrará el miércoles 27 de abril a las 6:00 p.m. y luego abrirá como un centro de servicios de SBA en una nueva dirección:

BATON ROUGE, La. – Disaster recovery centers will open Saturday, April 2, in Merryville, Beauregard Parish; Franklinton, Washington Parish; and Vinton, Calcasieu Parish, to help Louisiana flood survivors. The centers are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays until further notice.

Representatives from the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Small Business Administration, volunteer groups and other agencies are at the center to answer questions about disaster assistance and low-interest disaster loans for homeowners, renters and businesses. They can also help survivors apply for federal disaster assistance.

It is not necessary to visit a center to register for and receive federal disaster assistance. If possible, survivors should register with FEMA before visiting a recovery center.

Disaster survivors who are deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech disability and use a TTY may call 800-462-7585 to register. All disaster recovery centers are accessible and equipped with tools to accommodate disaster survivors who need disability-related communication aids. Low-interest disaster loans from the SBA are available for businesses of all sizes including landlords, private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters. Disaster loans cover losses not fully compensated by insurance or other recoveries.

Disaster Recovery Centers Open in Merryville, Beauregard Parish; Franklinton, Washington Parish; and Vinton, Calcasieu Parish, for Louisiana Survivors

BATON ROUGE, La. — Time is running out for Hurricane Isaac survivors in St. Charles Parish to visit the State/FEMA Disaster Recovery Center located in Luling. The center closes at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. 

Although the center will close, Hurricane Isaac survivors can still contact FEMA online at www.disasterassistance.gov or via web-enabled phone at m.fema.gov. Applicants may also call 1-800-621-3362 or (TTY) 1-800-462-7585.  Those who use 711 Relay or Video Relay Services may call 1-800-621-3362. The toll-free telephone numbers operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

St. Charles Parish Disaster Recovery Center Closes Wednesday

CLINTON, Miss. – The MEMA/FEMA disaster recovery center for Clarke County, located at the Sunflower Grocery Shopping Center, 109 W. Donald St., Quitman, will close effective 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26.

After that date, people affected by Hurricane Isaac still can register or get help online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or visit a recovery center in another county.

In addition to going on line, other ways to get assistance include:
